ABOUT

"....consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."

Matthew 6:28b-29

My earliest memory of flowers is collecting sweet and delicate pikake blossoms from the bushes of my front yard on the island of Maui. The rich and luscious scent of Hawaiian blooms still permeate my memory and inspire my designs today. My grandmothers were my first teachers in the artistry and care of flowers. From a very early age I was taught the unique ways in which Hawaiians wove and arranged flowers, each having a significant meaning and purpose to the wearer.  My experience as a native practitioner in the art of hula (Hawaiian dance) has given me insight into how plants work together symbiotically. I received formal training in art school which helps my understanding of color theory, composition, and visual depth. Now, years later, my love, experience, and knowledge of flowers has only grown. I hope you will allow me to share this passion I have with you for your special event, wedding, or occasion.
